M1 students participated in an APPP field trip to the City of Kitakyushu in April. During the visit, they had the honor of paying a courtesy call on Mayor Kazuhisa Takeuchi, where they gained a deeper understanding of the city's history of overcoming pollution and its environmental policies.
They also visited the TOTO Museum, where they explored the company's long history of innovation and commitment to quality and sustainability, and visited local cultural sites such as Mojiko Retro District and Kokura Castle.
The field trip proved invaluable in enhancing their understanding of how public policy, industry, and local governance can work together to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development.
